Alright, everyone, I had quite the exciting day yesterday! Not really, it was more of an exciting night...... Go to Dana's blog to see the pictures! Yesterday started out as a normal Thursday, I got up at about 6, got ready for a run and took a loud of laundry up to put in on my way out. A good 3 Mile run got me home just in time to switch out the laundry. Made myself a nice breakfast and did the dishes, then got ready for work. As per usual, work was pretty slow, but the day did go by pretty fast.Yesterday started out as a normal Thursday, I got up at about 6, got ready for a run and took a loud of laundry up to put in on my way out. A good 3 Mile run got me home just in time to switch out the laundry. Made myself a nice breakfast and did the dishes, then got ready for work. As per usual, work was pretty slow, but the day did go by pretty fast. Usually the last hour of the day, Eric R. is on Facebook and I bother him with my random thoughts, it makes the last hour go by much faster!! Thanks to Eric for putting up with me so often. Anyways, after work I got a call from Katie and it is always wonderful to hear how things are in Japan. I picked up a few things at Lin's for dinner before heading to Institute. I am taking a Pearl of Great Price class this semester and as always, Brother Bulloch gave a great lesson. I started getting a little bit of a headache towards the end of class and was really looking forward to getting to bed early.......My thoughts were in that direction when I parked in front of the house and gathered my things and got out of the car. Somehow while exiting the car my keys ended up on the driver's seat and my doors ended up locked. Just as I shut the door I realized that my keys were not in my possession and after having such a spiritual lesson on the creation in Institute I shamefully cursed at myself..... I have since repented for my language last night! :) When I told Dana what I had done, she asked if I had Roadside Assistance on my phone. Being upset with myself for my brilliance, I answered with I sharp, "No." My family knows what tone and facial expression this is done with! :) Sorry, Dana, it's my stupidity that I was upset with! I got a hold of Matt who said that he might be able to break into my car......Matt and Nate came over and Matt attempted to get the door unlocked. Thanks Matt for being willing to drive all the way out to our house to help out! Nate said that he had R.A. on his phone (Dana made fun of me for my previous comments! :) ) and we called to get a locksmith to open the door. Thanks Nate for being awesomely responsible! And thank you to the Locksmith guy for getting my keys out, I don't think we got your name but you're awesome!!
At about 11:30, Dana decided to head inside and go to bed. Shortly after she started inside we heard a crash in the garage and I wondered what Lyra had gotten into.....several minutes later Dana yelled for me to get Lyra, she thought she had broken her foot! Dana had slammed her toe into the bottom stair, bent her foot, smacked her head on the top stair and had been knocked unconscious for a few minutes.....We took her to the hospital to make sure it wasn't broken. We told Matt and Nate a few times to go home and get some sleep, but they stayed and kept me company. Thanks again, guys! You two are awesome!! So, we got home about 2:30 AM and Dana's foot is not broken, thankfully! It is just going to be really sore for a few weeks...... Needless to say, Dana and I are quite a pair!! We certainly have fun together in our misadventures......
